The SFPA is located in Clonakilty, the vibrant, cosmopolitan seaside town ideally located in West Cork, and within easy reach of Cork City.
Clonakilty is home to some of Ireland’s finest award winning food producers and restaurants. It offers a selection of both English speaking and Irish speaking primary and secondary schools and a wide range of sporting activities from rugby and GAA to water sports and golf.

Audit and Risk Committee

This is a non-executive and voluntary role to support the Authority’s compliance with governance and public sector best practice

Shellfish Environmental Manager (HEO) (Clonakilty, Co. Cork)
The SFPA is seeking applications for the role of Shellfish Environmental Manager. The candidate will work as part of the Food and Fisheries Support Unit (FFSU). The principal responsibilities relate to supporting the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) fulfil its remit in providing technical support in the regulatory area of Sanitary Surveys and Food Safety.
