I've a B.A International (Spanish & German), M.A Advanced Language Skills in Spanish, both from NUI Galway.

 

 

 

Outside work I like to walk my 2 dogs, read crime novels, travel as often as possible & enjoy the great social life that Galway has to offer.

 

 

 

There is a real sense of pride within the Thermo King Galway site – TK has been in Galway since 1976 and is a large local employer, uses local suppliers & gives back to the local Mervue area. There is a very friendly atmosphere on-site and a great sense of team spirit. 

I lead a Credit and Collections team of three people based here in Galway - we are mainly responsible for collecting payment for goods sold by Ingersoll Rand to our wide network of dealers & customers. We deal with customers all over the world, from Europe, Middle East & Africa to China and the U.S.A. Our roles are interactive, diverse and often challenging but there is a great feeling of satisfaction when we achieve excellent results.

 

 

 

A typical day for me starts at 7am when I get to the office and deal with emails from China that have arrived overnight. From 8am onwards the office is in full flow! We are a small team so there is a lot of interaction during the day between ourselves and also with other departments around us. The great thing about my job is that no day is ever the same and the role is very diverse which keeps it interesting.
